    In the 1960s, Giuliano Magni made his first mattresses in a small workshop in Tuscany. That was the beginning of a revolution.

  • THE ORIGINS

    In Prato, the world capital of fabrics, solid craftsmanship was combined with innovative ideas for rest and well-being. Since then, Magniflex has helped more than 50 million people sleep well and wake up even better, thanks to a range of solutions and models that meet the most diverse needs for comfort, relaxation and health. Over the last 60 years, the passion for research and the major investments in innovation, design and the development of cutting-edge production systems have made Magniflex a universal synonym for comfort and well-being.

  • 60s - 80s

    From the first few mattresses produced in the workshop in Prato, productivity increased to 1000 mattresses per day.

  • 90s

    The first foreign countries were “conquered”: Germany, Spain, Great Britain, Russia and Japan.

  • 2000 year

    Alessanderx SpA was founded, a company that produces 10,000 mattresses per day. Strategic expansion in Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and the USA has continued since 2010 until today. Magniflex showrooms have been opened in Singapore, Prague, Milan and Manila.

  • From 2010 to today

    Showrooms were opened in Bangalore, Rome, Bratislava, Osaka, Shanghai, Riyadh, Sofia, Beijing, Dongguan, Ivory Coast and Miami. In addition to the launch of new collections, strategic expansion is growing in Greece, Algeria, Poland, Macedonia, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Serbia, Turkey and Kyrgyzstan. Magni Smartech was launched on the market with distribution in 99 countries. In 2006, the German branch was opened in Bönen (Germany).

    The company reaches an important milestone: its 60th anniversary. A long journey marked by continuous development, characterized by the constant search for new solutions in the service of comfort, well-being and good sleep.

  • In a better world you wake up better

    Environmental protection has always been and continues to be a major concern for Magniflex. For example, the company's CO2 emissions have been reduced through the use of photovoltaic panels. The constant ecological commitment is also reflected in two certifications: OEKO-TEX ® CLASS I guarantees the absence of toxic substances harmful to humans and the environment in all components of the final product, and GOTS certifies that the fabrics are made from 100% organic materials.

Magniflex has decided to adopt the United Nations SDG project in order to pursue a clear and measurable strategy to improve the environment throughout the company.

  • A revolution from Magniflex

    Patented in 1986, vacuum packaging has revolutionized the world of mattresses, benefiting the environment and health. The vacuum guarantees that the hygienic and qualitative condition of Magniflex mattresses is perfectly maintained. In addition, their volume is reduced by 90% due to the elimination of air, which means that 13 mattresses can be shipped with a single cubic meter instead of 3 packed using the traditional method. This means less truck traffic and therefore less polluting CO2 emissions.

We have always been fans of a healthy life

Magniflex has a privileged relationship with the world of sport. In the 1980s, the company sponsored the Giro d'Italia, underlining the close link between restorative rest, i.e. sleep, and a healthy lifestyle. Today, the company's great passion for sport continues to guide its commitment to a culture of good sleep as a source of energy.

Over the years, Magniflex has supported various players of the Italian national rugby team, considered examples of performance and seriousness, confirming the quality that the company puts into each product. And this philosophy led Magniflex to recruit a legend of Italian and international sport as the face of Magniflex in 2016: Gianluigi Buffon. In 2017-18, the company is a partner of the Italian national football team, supplying mattresses and pillows to the "Centro Tecnico Federale" in Coverciano.

But our commitment to the world of sport does not stop there. In 2021, Magniflex became National Partner of the Volleyball Nations League, a competition for national volleyball teams launched in 2018. A tangible sign of the link between the brand and a healthy lifestyle, a declaration of interest in a culture that aims for a good night's sleep for a good wake-up call.

With so many years of association with sport, who is better suited than our European champion Giorgio Chiellini to continue the close relationship? The captain of the Italian national football team, who won the last European Championship, is from Tuscany, so we can now link the company's name to the place where it all began.
